Overview
Reward redeemable for $ and loyalty points allow guests to spend money (e.g. euros, dollars, pounds) and loyalty points to use the reward. This feature works independent of currency. This gives the guest the impression they are paying less given they are also using loyalty points to redeem the reward. With this functionality we hope to improve average check, sales and engagement of the loyalty program.
How does it work?

How is it configured?
Sanity

Under Rule add a new rule called
Reward Price
Then add the discount value (a number from 1 to 100), add the type of the discount (either
PercentageorAmount), and belowApply the discount to a Productchoose the item or combo that this discount will be applied to. Lastly, clickPublish
reward price in cents that the customer will need to pay at the end of the order for that reward. Then, click

In the example below, the reward price will refer to $3 in your markets' currency. |
Now in the Reward document you will see your Discount added below Incentives
Next, in the Reward document navigate to
Vendor Configs. Open the dropdown and click on the dropdown of POS vendor you would like to set the PLU to (in this case it will bePartner)
Click on the Partner dropdown and input
PLU TypeasConstantplu. BelowConstant PLUfield add the PLU of the original menu item that will be discounted.

The PLU added here needs to be the same PLU of the product that was added to the Discount document. When the POS vendor receives the original product PLU, they will discount it. |

Setting up a Reward that Discounts the Order Cart

Under mechanics add a new
DiscountunderIncentives
Then add the discount value (a number from 1 to 100) and add the type of the discount (either
PercentageorAmount). Leave the fieldApply the discount to a Productempty and clickPublish
Now in the Reward document you will see your Discount added below Incentives
Next, in the Reward document navigate to
