Overview

The free refill QR Code uses Sanity configuration, we have some controls to configure when the QR code will be shown:

Sanity Configuration

1 - Service mode:

Those controls will determine in which service mode the user should choose for the orderwill be available the QR Free drink refill

2 - QR Code Availability Duration

It’s how long It setup the QR code will be visible visibility on each screen. You can configure different times for each one:

  • Homepage

  • Recent orders and Order confirmation (they use the same counter)

...

Those are the items that allow a free Free Drink refill using a QR code , then - the user should have ordered, at least one of them. It doesn’t matter if it was ordered the item separately or inside a combo.

Tip

In short, the user experience should agree accomplish with all of those requirements,:

  • order in a restaurant from the list

  • choose one of the toggled service modes

  • and one of the items on the list in his/her order

Then the QR code will be visible to the user until the time configured ends or the user signs out.

Match the restaurant with one from the list from Restaurants with QR Code Refill Drink list

  • Tap to restaurants

  • Write the name of the restaurant

  • Choose the matched restaurant

  • Tap to info and order

Match the item to be in the order according to Menu items for QR code Refill Drink list

  • Tap top menu

  • Tap to Burgers

  • Choose any of theses combos

  • Verify the item in the combo (in this case we are using the Coca Cola Medium)

  • Add to cart

Match the service moce with Service Mode section from Sanity

  • Choose one of the service mode that is toogled on (in this case we are using Pick Up service mode)

  • Proceed to finish the order

See the QR code

  • After finishing the order

  • Below the order details you will see the QR code ( it can take some seconds because of query processing and the logic to revalidate the QR code)

  • Tap to close order

  • See the QR code visible in homepage

  • Tap to recent order

  • See the QR code visible in recent order

  • They will be visible until the time from QR Code Availability Duration ends

QR code scanned information

Note

When the QR code is scanned by the drink machine, it will show several pieces of information, but the most important is the hash that is generated using a secret password that is only configured in the DynamoDB and it should have a ticket open to do a new configuration of it.
