What is the Feature Menu?
This document will allow you to configure multiple Features related to your Menu, such as:
Menu Hero Image and Text
Day Parts (different menus according to the time of the day)
Default vs Catering Menu
Google Food Ordering Menu
Donation Items at Checkout
Upsell at Checkout (configurable per Service Mode)
Cart Add Ons
Different images per channel
Setting it up
Menu Hero Image & Menu Hero Text
Edit the image and the text that will show in your Menu page.
Day Parts
Due to the importance of this feature, it is described in detail in the Day Parts guide.
Default Menu
Select the Menu options that you have created in Menu.
Catering Menu
In case your brand and market support Catering, you may want to configure a completely different menu for this service mode. You can do so here.
Remember you must first create an option in Menu.
GFO Menu
In case your brand and market support Google Food Ordering, you may want to configure a completely different menu for this service mode. You can do so here.

Upsell Items at Checkout in Restaurant
Upsell Items at Checkout will consistently suggest items for your guests to add to their cart, at the checkout moment
This feature will be added to the checkout for Click & Collect Service Modes (Eat In, Take Out, Drive Thru, Curbside Pickup). The feature will also be added to the picker/ item page immediately after the checkout page
In the Front-End, the title of this feature is commonly named as “Add to Order” or “Something Extra”. This can be customized in Lokalise
Add one item at a time in the below field.
Remember you must first create items to see them here - Follow the Items guide if you haven’t done so already.
Upsell Items at Checkout for Delivery
Upsell Items at Checkout will consistently suggest items for your guests to add to their cart, at the checkout moment
This feature will be added to the checkout for Delivery only
These are configured the same way as the previous option.
Upsell Items at Checkout for Catering
Upsell Items at Checkout will consistently suggest items for your guests to add to their cart, at the checkout moment
This feature will be added to the checkout for Catering only
These are configured the same way as the previous option.
Cart Add On Sections
Cart Add Ons will present your guests with a button to add some extras to their orders. Unlike Upselling, where we suggest the guest to add typical items that complement an order (desserts, sides, drinks), here we typically add smaller items, such as Sauces, Condiments, or Cutlery.
This feature will be added to the checkout for all Service Modes, except Catering
To add this feature, you need to select Add On Sections that you have previously built. Check this guide to learn how to configure such Add On Sections.
Cart Add On Sections for Catering
Cart Add Ons will present your guests with a button to add some extras to their orders. Unlike Upselling, where we suggest the guest to add typical items that complement an order (desserts, sides, drinks), here we typically add smaller items, such as Sauces, Condiments, or Cutlery.
These are configured the same way as the previous option.
To add this feature, you need to select Add On Sections that you have previously built. Check this guide to learn how to configure such Add On Sections.
What is the Daypart functionality?
Dayparts feature enables you to display the menu items, sections and offers in the dayparts that they are available in.
Enable feature:
1- Creating all different Dayparts in the Features Menu, Dayparts Section
Editing Dayparts
Key
Select one of the available keys, these keys come from MDM per Brand
Start time
Select the local time you want to enable this daypart
End Time
Select the local time you want to disable this daypart
Display Name
Friendly name
Icon
Icon to make it appear in the FE in case you want to enable the user to explore different dayparts
This icon will be used in the feature to enable a daypart selector explained here
Disable on
Mark as true if you want to disable it any specific day
2- Assign each item, section, offer the appropriate Daypart
Items
Automatic MDM Synchronization
This is updated in MDM and it flows through the automatic Sync. If you want to update a daypart in MDM visit this guide on how to update information in MDM in bulk.
You can find it updated in the Operational Item info, if you see it empty that means it is empty in MDM
Section
This is added manually for the user. You will need to ensure you type it the same way you typed the Display Name in the daypart set up
Offers
This is added manually for the user. You will need to ensure you type it the same way you typed the Display Name in the daypart set up
Attention!
Please make sure that all the dayparts you have in your items are in the feature menu configuration as well because if not your items won't appear in the Frontend. As well item overrides the daypart for the combo and the picker , if the main item is not available in the daypart it picker or combo wont appear
Enable Dynamic Picker Images
In the bottom of Feature Menu the toggle
Enable Dynamic Picker Images
decides when the app pulls the pictures of each children document within a picker when it is selectedex. if large combo is selected display large combo pic, if a la carte sandwich is selected display image configured of sandwich
When turned on this how the different picker options show when selected
Change images by purchase channel
The franchisee has the possibility to show different images by purchase channel (ex: a specific Coca-cola for the Home Delivery). The goal is to align the user expectations with what he will purchase.
The setup can be done on a picker → combo → item level to maintain consistency.
Cart and recent orders page will be updated accordingly.
In Sanity, there is a specific section where the image can be added.
If no images has uploaded, the default images will be maintained (no need of FZ effort).
