RBI data share

This document provides an overview of the RBI data export process, including organization, file format, timing, error handling, handling changes, and requesting data retrieval. Our data sharing product enables franchisees to access and utilize transaction and user data generated by our digital platform. This optional feature can be used for various purposes, including: Financial reporting, Loyalty liability reporting, Data analysis and data science

Data Flow

Data is collected from multiple production databases and ingested into our centralized warehouse. The warehouse serves as the primary source of truth for shared data.


Data Sharing Methods

  • Snowflake Share (Recommended):

    • Direct sharing of Snowflake databases.

    • Secure, fast, and always synchronized.

    • No data replication, reducing storage costs.

    • Query costs are incurred by the consumer account.

  • Daily File Method:

    • Daily CSV files sent to AWS or Google accounts.

    • Less secure than Snowflake Share.

    • May require manual data ingestion and transformation.
      Requesting Data Sharing
      To request data sharing, please contact your customer success manager. They will forward the request to the data team, who will determine the appropriate method, data, and technical details for the data destination and frequency.
      Problem Handling
      For any issues related to data sharing, such as missing information or files, please open a ticket with your customer success manager.

Data Export Process

  • Data Organization: Data is organized into folders by type and table.

  • File Format: Data files are compressed CSV files.

  • Timing: Files are generated and sent daily at 3:00 CET.

  • Error Handling: Missing files will be sent once issues are resolved.

  • No Data Available: If there is no data for a specific day, no file will be generated.

  • Handling Changes: Structural changes or data modifications may require a full historical resend.


Requesting Data Retrieval

To request the retrieval of exported data, open a ticket through our ticketing system. Include the customer success manager in the communication and provide specific details such as the table name, date range, and any additional requirements.

  • No labels
