Overview

What are Offer Upsells?

When a guest navigating the app, clicks on the Offer we show a modal to the guest prompting if they would like to Upsell their Offer to a larger Offer option. The guest then, has the ability to accept and be redirect to the larger offer or decline and continue in the same offer he has initially navigated to (please see the Scenarios section below visuals on the guest flow.

Note: offer upsells work for open offers (signed out guests), closed offers (signed in guests), systemwide offers (available for all guests) and config offers (only available for guests that have that offer assigned to their accounts)

Configuration of offer upsells

Sanity Setup

For a Systemwide or Config Offer:

Click on the offer you would like to setup the Upsell for, then click on the dropdown Mechanics
Scroll all the way down to Offer Upsells and add the Offer Upsells you would like to show to the guest, when they click on this existing offer
- More than one offer upsell can be added and shown to the guest

Guest Journey Scenarios

1. Guest decides to upsell to new offer

Step	Expected results
Guest is clicks on Offer and clicks on button Use at Restaurant
Guest sees modal asking if the guest would like to upsell to a bigger or another offer
guest clicks “Yes I would like to Upsell to another offer” (first button)	Guest is taken to other (upsold) offer
To redeem new (upsold) offer, guest clicks on Redeem in Restaurant button	guest will see message offer is only available for the next 15 minutes guest will click confirm
guest will see use in restaurant screen with static code + timer + static QR Code

2. Guest decides to not upsell to a new offer

Step	Expected results
guest is clicks on Offer and clicks on button Use at Restaurant
guest sees modal asking if guest would like to Upsell to a bigger/another Offer
guest clicks “No I would NOT like to Upsell to another offer” (second button)	Modal closes and guest continues in the same offer
To redeem original (not upsold) offer, guest clicks on Redeem in Restaurant button	guest will see message offer is only available for the next 15 minutes guest will click confirm
guest will see use in restaurant screen with static code + timer + static QR Code

3. Upsell offer is not in Sanity or it is configured but upsell offer is not available

Step	Expected results
guest goes to the Coupons page in app, clicks on any offer, and clicks on button Use at Restaurant	guest will see message offer is only available for the next 15 minutes guest will click confirm guest will see use in restaurant screen with static code + timer + static QR Code
