Braze can power geolocation based campaigns, by either relying on background tracking or on the last available location when the app was open. Important to highlight that location based campaign might feel intrusive
How to gather geolocation inputs
Indirect ways to gather & utilize user location:
From Braze:
When a user opens your app, location tracking captures their most recent locations using GPS location data. This allows you to see where your users have been and segment based on this data.
Geofences are defined virtual geographic areas. If a user has enabled background location tracking, you can use geofences to trigger campaigns in real-time when a user is in a geofence. Geofences are only available in select Braze packages. For access, reach out to your Braze representative
From Transaction:
All users who performed (one, last) transaction in certain restaurants within a geofence
Direct ways to gather & utilize user location:
From Braze
In app message prompting people to leave their postal code
