New fee - customers must pay for the bag usage

To support environmental sustainability goals, Portugal has implemented a new law requiring customers to pay a tax on paper bag usage. This feature adds the tax to the customer's order and displays it throughout the customer journey. Currently, this applies only to BK Portugal, but similar laws are expected to be adopted in other European countries. This configuration can be extended and managed through Sanity. Please, check with your CSM for more details on How to Enable this feature!

Rules to limit the usage of offline payment methods

When home delivery orders are canceled with offline payments (such as cash, voucher, terminal machine at home) as the payment method, it results in significant losses for RBI. To mitigate this risk, new rules can be set to limit the use of offline payment methods:

  • First Purchase: if it’s their first home delivery order, customers can pay using offline payments for orders up to a certain amount. Example: Cash payments are allowed for orders up to €60.

  • Second Purchase Onwards: for all subsequent orders, another amount can be set to limit the offline payment methods. Example: Cash payments are allowed for orders up to €80.

  • Cancellation History: If a previous home delivery was canceled due to specific reasons and offline payment was used, the customer won't be able to use offline payment methods for the next order.

If an order meets these criteria, offline payment options will be hidden during checkout. These rules can be adjusted on DOP and viewed in Sanity. More details are available here.

Please, check with your CSM for more details on How to Enable this feature!
