Overview

Sometimes, an event becomes out of date because a better alternative was created, or a feature was changes in a way that tracking the original event no longer makes sense. When that happens, we mark the event as deprecated by categorizing it as “z. deprecated“.

Deprecated events should not be used, as they will stop being generated in the near future. If you are currently using an event that has been deprecated, you can use pages in this section to find out how you can replace it.

Note that categorizing an event as deprecated does not change the data captured per event. Historical event data is not deleted and you will be able to query historical data.
