Overview

Config offers are one half of the required components to create a personalized offer. They are offers that only exist to provide the config for personalized offers. As such, they will not appear on their own in the offers page if they are not referenced by a personalized offer.

The Config Offers section is separated from systemwide offers. Config offers must be created independently of systemwide offers.

How to Create a Config Offer

The process to create a config offer is very similar to creating a systemwide offer. If you are not familiar with creating systemwide offers, we recommend starting with the guide for /wiki/spaces/FEP/pages/3500965927.

Step 1: Navigate to Order Level Content > Loyalty > Offers > Config Offers. Create a new config offer or duplicate an existing one

Step 2: Set up the content

  • Name, Description, and Localized Image are required

  • A price must be set using either the Offer Price or Market Price field

  • Add other optional fields if needed

Step 3: Set up mechanics

  • Incentive is required. Link the offer benefit

  • Rules are not required

    • Note: Any rules set on the config offer will flow through to any personalized offers that use this config offer. However, a conflicting rule set by the personalization engine will override a config offer rule.

      • IE if my config offer specifies that the offer is Delivery Only but the personalization engine creates an offer using this config offer and adds the pickup service modes via the template, the offer will be available for pick up as well.

  • Add Vendor Configs

    • Note: Because config rules can be overriden by the personalization engine (see note above), it is best practice to have vendor configs for all POS systems on all config offers.

Step 4: Set Redemption Type

Select standard, support, or swap.

You have completed your config offer. If you need to create a new offer template for your config offer, see the guide on /wiki/spaces/FEP/pages/3500998755 .
