Overview
This document will outline the top-level configuration for offers in a market. The document will go through offer cooldown period (minimum minutes of time that must pass in betweeen offer redemptions for one user), limits in the number of offers that can be ordered per order, and limits in the number of times the same offer can be added to the same order.
Where can I make these configurations?
In Sanity, navigate to Order-Level Content > Loyalty & Offers > Loyalty Configuration > Earning Calculation. Scroll to the bottom of the page until you reach the Offer specific configuration.
Note: the majority of these configurations are controlled directly through Sanity. For offer cooldown configuration, an extra internal RBI configuration needs to be set; your customer success manager representative can help you to enable it.
Offer Redemption Cooldown Period
Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager representative to enable this feature.
The cooldown period is set in minutes. It is the minimum time between offer redemptions that can be done by a single user. If a user has redeemed an Offer and the configurations are enabled, the user will not be able to use another offer for a given period of time (in minutes).
In the app, the customer will see an error message letting them know the amount of minutes pending before another offer redemption can be completed successfully:
Stackable Offer limit
This is where you will configure the number of Offers a customer can add to their cart and checkout with. This applies to both online and in-restaurant loyalty orders.
For example:
A value of 1 would mean a maximum of 1 Offer per cart/order.
A value of 4 would mean a maximum of 4 Offers per cart/order.
In the app, the customer sees a warning message when the offer limit has been reached in an order:
Limit for adding the same offer
Note: This field only applies to in-restaurant orders: Offers - In Restaurant Ordering Flow
This represents the maximum number of times the same offer can be added in a single order.
In the app the customer sees a greyed out '+
' when the in-restaurant limit for ordering the same offer has been reached:
