This page is a draft.

This page details how to manage price and availability changes for the RBI platform using the Oracle POS.

Content

Availability management

Menu item availability is managed

  1. on a store-level and

  2. on a PLU level.

This means that the availability for items is the same per service mode – availability for in-restaurant and delivery is the same.

If availability per service mode needs to be managed separately for a given item, 2 separate PLUs and Sanity documents will be needed.

Changes in availability done in the POS will be notified to the RBI platform and reflected in the menu after a few minutes.

Price management

Price information comes from price sequences for each menu structure.

For combos specifically, the total combo price will be calculated as the sum of: combo price + main item price + side 1 price + side 2 price. That’s because some markets configure the price at the combo level, while others configure it at the combo items’ level.

Changes in pricing done in Oracle’s EMC will be notified to the RBI platform and reflected in the menu. Note that price changes take around 30min to be reflected in the RBI platform.
