Oracle - MDS: Product Creation Process

Every new product and ingredient introduced into the market undergoes an RBI-defined process of QA and authorizations, there are two main documents involved in the process:

• Product Initiation Form (PIF): This form is the initial request for the addition of a new product.

• Product Change Alert (PCA): This document details the product created after the necessary QA and authorizations.

The processes and the RBI Product Numbers are managed and maintained within the RBI system known as MDS. All franchisees must have access to MDS and be adequately trained to navigate the system, follow the process flow, and search for RBI Product Numbers of existing products as needed.
