Overview

This documentation will describe how operators or customer support agents can manage guest’s loyalty points. It will deep dive into how support agents can check the loyalty historical orders information, can check the loyalty balance, issue loyalty points and deduct loyalty points from a guest.

How to issue or deduct a guest’s loyalty points

  1. Click on “Issue points” button and click on “Deduct points” button if you would like to remove loyalty points from the guest.

  2. You will receive a popup window. From there, select:

    1. Points: set how many points you would like to assign to the guest;

    2. Reason: select one of the following options on the dropdown list. This list is configurable in Sanity under Remediation Reason;

To configure the values to display in this field can follow the below process on the CMS tool: Platform configuration → Support → Remediation Reasons.

  1. Comment: You can also add in an optional comment.

  2. Click on Confirm button and the points assignment will be completed.

The guest balance can never be negative. So, the maximum amount it is possible to deduct is the total balance of the guest.

How to check the Loyalty balance and transactions

When the support agent access this section, the screen shows

  1. The current balance on the first box.

  2. A group of filters to search loyalty transactions

  3. The loyalty transaction history and timeline on the right side.
