What is feature onboarding?

It is a feature that enables the team to set up an onboarding campaign in Sanity for the first time the user downloads our app.

Setting it up

Create a new campaign

Trigger Rule

Select First App Load: This is the list of rules where we will trigger this onboarding feature

Channel

Select the channel you want to set up this campaign for, the reasoning for this is for you to have the experience you desire in each app or channel

Screens

These will be the screens the onboarding experience will have and will be linked for the Iarge and widgets component section.

How to create a Screen

Navigate to Components - Widgets and select Image with header and text

Set-Up

Title

This is the internal title for viewing purposes

Image

This is the image that is shown as part of the screen

Recomendation this image would idealy have background because if not the onboarding experience will use a default one that might not match the best with the look ad feel you want to give the flow

Image Description

This will be the text for the alt attribute on the image.

The alt attribute is the HTML attribute used in HTML and XHTML documents to specify alternative text (alt text) that is to be rendered when the element to which it is applied cannot be rendered.

It is also important for SEO purposes, as this description is what allows search engines (like Google) to connect this image to a search. By adding the Plant-based Whopper description, there is a chance users will find this image in Google Images, which can lead to traffic in the platform

Text Content

This is the widget you will use if you would like to add a piece of text to your static page. The text can be bolded, italicized, add a hyperlink to a piece of text etc…

Action Text

This is the text that will appear if we have a action button

Action URL

This is the URL the button will take you if you click it
