Overview
This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for A/B testing the menu page of the guest app. A/B testing allows you to create different versions of the menu page and show them to different guest segments, helping you identify which variation performs best. To set up an A/B test in your market, you’ll need support from your Customer Success Manager (CSM), and you must have access to Sanity in your market
How can I access this page in Sanity?
Marketing Content → Components → A/B Testing → Menu Variations
Feature Menu Variations: pictures on menu sections, pickers, default product slot to combo large or combo medium instead of burger only, different upsell products.
How can I set it up?
Click on “+” to create a new menu page variation;
Edit the variations as you want: please ensure to create new menu document so you don't change the default one!
Configure the Sections: where group of products are displayed in the guest app
Configure the Upsell Items at Checkout: where upsell items are configured.
Configure the Cart Add On Sections: where cart add on sections are configured.
Configure the Enable Dynamic Picker Images: for dynamic pickers to show.
Publish the version and inform your CSM the new page ID and the % of users with new variation.
Where can I find new page ID?
Click on 3 dots on your right side and then Inspect.
CSM Team to will update the Launch Darkly flag (AB Testing Menu Page
) in order to add the new page ID and the % of users with new variation.
