This is the process to create and then approve a new delivery area for a specific restaurant.

When you access the Delivery Area sub-page, you can create a new Polygon and left this polygon in draft to use as a guidance or to use it later in the restaurant. If you want to use this polygon as the main polygon for the restaurant you will have to select the option for “Request Approval”. After this polygon to be approved, it will be the default Delivery Area used by the Delivery Management Platform.

Some important rules for the Polygons:

  • Is required to have one Polygon to be used as main Area

  • You can have up to 5 draft polygons on the restaurant

  • If using the Delivery Area page, you will have to “Request Approval“ to use a new Polygon as default in the polygon area

  • If you have access to the Areas page, you will be able to approve a polygon without to have to request approval first. But remember that, is always good to have another person reviewing as well

 

Now, it is also possible to upload a delivery area. The extension of the file must be KML.
Otherwise, if you like to drawn your polygon, follow the instructions below.

 Instructions

To create a new delivery area:

  1. Go to DELIVERY > RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT

 

2. Click on three dots and then select the option Delivery Area:

 

 

  1. In the right side you can see all the “saved polygons” (delivery area) that are approved (with

) and the others that are in draft. You can see each area clicking in the eye () button. It’s possible to EDIT, DELETE, DUPLICATE or REQUEST FOR APPROVAL for each area:

 

 

4. To create a New area [click on “Create new”] or edit we offer several tools for that. In order:

  • Draw the polygon;

  • Clean the whole polygon;

  • Erase the points;

  • Change color;

  • Lock the map to check the ETA from the restaurant to the place where the mouse is over.

It’s possible to add a name and it’s mandatory to draw a Main and a Reduced area:

5. When you create a new area it’s possible to send to approval or Save area. When the area is only saved is going to be in draft mode.

6. It can be edited, send officially to request approval or deleted:

7. To see the areas that should be approved, you need to go to the menu section and click on Areas:
Important: Only the master user can access this screen

 

8. It’s possible to do some filtering on this screen by:

  • Restaurant name;

  • City;

  • Franchisee;

  • Status.

9. Inside this screen, if a new drawn is available, is going to be presented under APPROVALS section:

10. To see the drawn area for a specific restaurant, just click on the “eye icon”:

11. The user is going to be able to see the polygons with all main, reduced and the grid. If another restaurant have an area close to the selected one, is going to be visible with the black line, as following:

12. It’s possible to EDIT or DUPLICATE an approved area.

13. When you click on EDIT, the same tools from drawing a new one are available in this screen:
