Overview

This document is intended to be the place where we configure fees and taxes. We can have multiple configurations depending on the business rules, and each fee/tax should have a separate section in the document.

Paper Bag Tax configuration

Service modes and tax value

We can configure the paper bag tax value in the following place inside Sanity:

Inside the “Bag Tax” Section

Within the “Bag Tax” section, we will have the same configuration across all service modes:

A toggle to charge this tax for the selected service mode (works like a Launch Darkly flag)
A field for the current value that will be charged

In addition to each service mode configuration, we can also configure the “Bag Tax Explainer,” which will be used to display an explanation about this tax on the Whitelabel App. This is a localized configuration, allowing us to add the desired translations.

The form will have some validations, for example:

If we enable a service mode, we need to fill in a value for the tax, or we’ll not be able to publish the document

Sanity email template and Braze

To show the Paper Bag Tax value in the email receipt we need to configure and use new variable bagFeeCents in the template that will be in the following path:

If you need to configure the template on the Braze side, just ensure to use the bagFeeCents variable in the template.
